THE PROBUS CLUB OF BEDFORD
Meets monthly for Retired Professional Business Men and Women to enjoy a meal together in comfortable surroundings. The programme also includes talks, special meals, activities and social events.
The Probus Club of Bedford was formed in 1973. Membership is open to both both ladies and gentlemen.
We offer a comfortable environment for our members to meet, usually on the first Monday of the month, at the function suite of the Bedfordshire Golf Clubhouse, near Stagsden, which is wheelchair accessible and has a bar.
Apart from an opportunity to meet with old and new colleagues, the monthly meeting offers a two course lunch with tea or coffee and includes speakers covering a variety of subjects.
Periodically, we arrange special dinners and luncheons with appropriate Guest Speakers to which partners and guests are invited.
Other activities including day trips, outings and short group holidays are organised by our enthusiastic Social Committee. The latter are also open to partners and where space permits, friends and colleagues outside the club.
A small annual subscription, currently £30, covers our fixed costs. All other activities are chargeable if attending, including the cost of each monthly lunch attended. We are a “not for profit organisation” that exists for the benefit of our members
